Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will function as a business development contact for issues pertaining to high technology aviation and maritime simulation hardware design and production.
Key position responsibilities include:
Conduct business development activities, associated with internal and external prospects within the simulation and training marketplace, including market research and analysis, strategic business planning, new business forecasting and capture, and bidding proposal activities
Develop outstanding business relationships with customers that will continue to bring credibility and respect to the AMI business and organization
Conduct marketing/sales activities of products and/or services to government agencies or private firms doing government business
Understand customer decision-making and funding process
Find new business opportunities, validate opportunity, define customer requirements and participate in the transition of effort to a Capture Manager to conduct the proposal and capture effort
Maintain key marketing/sales contacts with civilian and military community as appropriate
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in business or technical field; MBA preferred
Candidates must have 6 years of directly related experience (military or civilian) in the defense manufacturing industry and a thorough understanding of strategic planning and new business capture processes, methods and techniques
The position requires coordinating and working with cross-functional teams involved in the development of business/market strategies and customer proposals
Strong communication skills to advise team members and senior management on status and/or actions required relative to existing and potential new business opportunities
Program Management experience in simulation and or training is highly desirable
Good analytical skills relating to business development process
Microsoft Office Suite skills, including PowerPoint
Ability to make formal presentations to senior decision makers
Experience developing proposals
Ability to travel 25% - 50%
Clearance: Secret (preferred) or the ability to secure a clearance

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
