This position will require (at a minimum) a BS in Forest Engineering, Forestry or related field and a minimum of 3 years practical experience in logging. The position is responsible for administration of logging contracts and contractors. Successful candidate for will reside in or near the Broken Bow, OK area of responsibility.
Key Functions:
Member of a team of contract managers.
Contract administration and/or supervision and development of contractors in logging function.
Harvest planning, contract negotiation and administration, sales and delivery of raw material from the harvest of standing timber asset.
Management of quality systems that insure compliance with customer specifications.
Setting goals, priorities and achieving desired results.

BS in forestry, BS/BA in a related field, or AS in forestry, or equivalent in experience
At least three years practical experience in logging.
Willingness and ability to role model and promote a safe work environment
Demonstrated knowledge of harvesting and transportation systems, their application, their cost structure and rate determination methods
Day-rate analyses and the tools associated with conducting these analyses such as time and motion studies
Contract administration
Ability to track and analyze logger production and cash flow; sufficient skill to recon tracts using on-site survey and aerial photos to make appropriate logging prescriptions; negotiating skills; fundamental understanding of various log and pulpwood scales and measures
Able to determine and use conversion factors between alternate scales and weights
Thorough understanding of quality specifications for raw material at all customer markets and how log characteristics affect delivered raw material and standing timber values
Ability to use cost, volume, quality and other supplier data to evaluate performance; knowledge of and ability to recognize conformance to safety, environmental, labor and transportation laws and regulations as they apply to the logging function
Demonstrated leadership in employee/contractor safety performance process improvement
Working knowledge of business/contract law
Strong communication skills, analytical skills and computer proficiency are required
Interpersonal skills and a willingness to work in self-motivated, self-directed environment as well as team-based activities is required
Understanding of total system concepts and a demonstrated ability to work across business and organizational boundaries is expected
Ability to use Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel
Ability and willingness to utilize Smartphone applications and other technology to perform various aspects of responsibilities

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
