Job Description:
SUMMARY We are looking for a Calibration Technician at our Broken Arrow, OK facility.
We provide service and support for US Market.
In this role you will provide calibration and repair for our Fluid Analysis Business.
The business is comprised of two Ametek brands.
Grabner Instruments located in Vienna Austria and Spectro Scientific located in Boston, MA.
The successful candidate excels while working in a fast-paced environment.
Individuals should be self-driven and able to work independently as well as working in a small team environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides diagnostic repair of Grabner Analytical Instrument, electronic circuitry to the level of component replacement.
Provides analysis/trouble shooting of circuit-related problems.
Evaluates circuits for proper function and signal quality.
Repairs and evaluates the mechanical mechanisms used in instruments.
Consists of re-positioning/alignment of parts, replacement where necessary and observation of mechanical function to confirm proper operation.
Multi-task between multiple repairs at the same time, with minimal supervisionEfficiently perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Calibration ServicesCreate accurate work order and inventory consumption records for each job assignedIncoming receiving, Return Authorizations (RA's) and convert to Service OrdersRoutes instrument and paperwork to the labOrganize in-coming and out-going shelves of instrumentsMatch incoming parts with Kanban Cards and put parts awayPosition is Non-Exempt - Hourly over 40 per week can be expectedProvide in-field support and service when needs arise, travel to customer sitesOther duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Troubleshooting and mechanical ability is imperative for this positionAbility to work independently as well as working within a small close-knit team environmentWillingness to travel and work independently.
Associates Degree from an accredited college, university or technical school; or Certificate of Training from an Electronics / Technical Institute, or two to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication skills, particularly with engaging customers and resolving cases.
Able to adapt to changing situations and comfortable with ambiguity as troubleshooting reveals more details.
