gov/government/jobs Under general supervision, this position is responsible for providing maintenance and support to the department's geographic information system and administrative duties in support of the recreation division.
Essential Job Functions:
Creates, edits organizes and maintains CAPRA documents.
Maintains and updates the department's geographical information system.
Creates, develops, and maintains the Parks and Recreation Department's City webpage and effectively communicates GIS resources.
Acts as the City's liaison with user groups and attends user group meetings.
Seeks sponsors for special events and programming.
Promotes events, activities, and programs for the Parks and Recreation Department through social media outlets.
Develops and implements brochures, quarterly newsletters, program flyers, and promotional items for the Recreation Division.
Assists with routine maintenance of Recreation Software.
Communicates with other City departments to ensure proper and efficient flow of data, supplies, and information.
Develops, implements, and conducts patron surveys and analyzes data.
Corresponds with vendors and contractors to secure pricing, bids, and quotes.
Develops and implements routine audits at the seasonal swimming pools.
Provides information to the general public and assists with customer service resolutions.
Attends professional functions, not limited to, meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and
Experience:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented with one to three years of related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred in course of study related to the field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a CPR/First Aid and AED certification and a valid Class D Driver's License issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
